At Hourglass Counseling + Wellness, we believe therapy should feel supportive, accessible, and tailored to your unique needs. Whether you’re seeking care for yourself, your relationship, or your family, our team of experienced therapists provides inclusive and affirming services for children, teens, adults, and couples.
We offer both in-person sessions as well as online therapy across Missouri and Kansas, with flexible scheduling. We strive to make our services accessible for every human being—no matter your background, identity, or story. We accept most insurance and offer affordable options to ensure that care is never out of reach.
Individual Therapy
Our individual therapy sessions provide a safe and supportive space where you can process emotions, heal from trauma, and navigate life’s transitions. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, or everyday stress, therapy offers a space that’s just for you.
Our therapists use evidence-based approaches to help you better understand yourself, build healthy coping skills, and manage symptoms that may be getting in the way of your daily life. Together, we’ll work toward clarity, resilience, and a greater sense of balance — at a pace that feels right for you.
Adult Therapy
Life as an adult can be full of responsibilities, transitions, and unexpected challenges. Adult therapy offers a safe and supportive space to work through stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, grief, or simply the desire to feel more grounded and fulfilled.

Teen Therapy
Adolescence is a time of growth, change, and sometimes struggle. Therapy offers teens a safe, confidential space to express themselves and work through issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, identity questions, school stress, or family challenges. Our goal is to help teens build resilience, confidence, and healthy coping strategies for life.

Child Therapy
Children often express themselves through play, creativity, and behavior rather than words alone. Our child therapists create a supportive, engaging environment where kids can explore feelings, process experiences, and develop emotional skills. We partner with parents to support your child’s growth, healing, and overall well-being.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Sometimes weekly therapy isn’t enough. For adults who need more support, our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides a higher level of care while still allowing you to live your daily life.
Our IOP is a structured treatment program that combines evidence-based curriculum, group work, and individual therapy to help you stabilize, heal, and build lasting skills. With a focus on wellness and improving daily functioning, we’ll work alongside you to help you get back to your whole self.
Our IOP is designed for adults seeking a supportive, structured path to healing — a place where you’ll learn practical tools & skills, gain community, and receive care that meets your mental health needs.
What makes our program unique:
Small group sizes for quality, personalized, engaging support
Local therapist-developed curriculum that is research-based and tailored to what truly works
Multiple weekly sessions (3 days a week) that balance structure with flexibility
Blended care including group and individual therapy
Length of treatment varies by need, with an average attendance of 8 weeks
Couples & Family Therapy
Relationships can be both rewarding and challenging. Couples & family therapy provides a supportive environment to strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and work through conflict. Whether you’re facing relationship stress, navigating major life changes, or simply want to deepen your connection, we’ll help you create healthier patterns and a stronger foundation together.
Sessions focus on emotion centered communication + healthy conflict resolution + healing by understanding.
